As one part of the “Forth Teaching Festival of HIT”, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held the online commendation conference of “Guarantee the Teaching and Service while Fighting COVID-19” and the seminar of online teaching on May 21st.
To answer the call of “ensuring learning when classes suspended” , all teachers of SCCE have taken their responsibilities actively to carry out the teaching work smoothly. A number of advanced models have emerged among them. The online commendation conference produced three awards for fighting COVID-19 in the aspects of teaching ,servicing and devoting. It commended the excellent faculties and students who made great efforts in high-quality online teaching and service. The representatives shared their valuable experiences of online teaching and fighting COVID-19 in the front line and their managing methods, which strengthened the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the whole school.
In the seminar, student representatives from all grades were invited to discuss how to improve the quality of online teaching and learning, how to maintain an optimistic attitude and positive thinking, etc. Then a detailed explanation was given by relevant teachers.The successful holding of the seminar has played a significant role in improving the teaching quality of our school, and deepening the understanding of students' learning status and thoughts in current time.
The secretary of SCCE Party Committee, professor Meng Linghui have extended his thanks to all the faculties and students who have made great contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed his hope that all teachers should keep the education mission in mind and be responsible for every student to cultivate their patriotism and strengthen their beliefs. We will continue to promote the education and teaching reform to adapt to the development of the times.
