Release time:2025-12-04Number of views:12

On the afternoon of November 30th, the 99th session of the "Mingde Lecture Hall" of the School of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry was successfully held in the Mingli Academic Lecture Hall. Professor Prof. Bo Wang, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology, delivered an academic report entitled "Bionic Open Frameworks for Energy Conversion" at with the invitation of Professor Prof. Jian Zhang from the Department of Applied Chemistry. The report was cChaired by Professor Prof. Jian Zhang, the event drew and nearly 60 faculty membersteachers and students, including Vice Dean Shuaifeng Lou, Professors Prof. Chunyu Du, Yulin Yang, Kaifeng Lin, Debin Xia, and Xin Huang, . Their active participation and interactions attended and participated in the interactive session, fully demonstrating reflected the strong interest of the college community in related research fieldsfaculty and students in this research field.

Professor Prof. Bo Wang began by recounting the origins of life, detailing his research journey and describing his group's focus on key separation and mass transfer processes in the clean energy field. He described their technology for constructing biomimetic framework materials with both selective recognition and efficient transport capabilities, providing a vivid academic report for the faculty and students present.

Professor Prof. Bo Wang pointed out that his group's research revolves around biomimetic frameworks of multi-scale functional units from molecules and clusters to nanocrystals, as well as the ordered assembly methods and large-scale preparation techniques of biomimetic framework membranes. This has laid an importanta solid material foundation for realizing research on themulti-matter synergistic transport research of multiple substances. Some achievements have already been made: , such as establishing a highly efficient and tunable mass transport and catalytic system has been constructed; the concept of biomimetic porous framework ionomers has been proposed; advancing strategies for constructing porous framework nano-interface layers have been developed; revealing the gas/liquid/ion synergistic transport mechanism of gas/liquid/ion in confined spaces has been revealed, and breaking through overcoming the bottleneck of limited mass transfer limitations at complex interfaces; realizing efficient catalytic conversion of key small energy molecules such as H2,CO2, andN2 by and through the synergistically regulation regulating of the electronic structure and interfacial environment of catalytic sites, the efficient catalytic conversion of key energy small molecules such as H2,CO2, andN2 has been achieved.

After the report, the faculty and students engaged in in-depth discussions with Professor Prof. Bo Wang on related issues. Professor Prof. Bo Wang, drawing upon his solid research foundation, patiently and professionally answered each of the audience's questions, fostering active interaction and a strong academic atmosphere.

Professor Prof. Bo Wang's insightful report provided profound academic inspiration to the faculty and students of the School of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, effectively broadening their research horizons. The "Mingde Lecture Hall," a distinctive academic brand meticulously crafted by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, will continue to gather high-quality academic resources, build a high-level exchange platform, and create a favorable innovation environment, promoting breakthroughs in basic research and discipline development through high-quality academic interactionsinteraction.
